Recommended Site Preparation for Sheds

Materials needed:

•  2B or 3/4" Stone
•  Flat or Spade Shovel
•  Tape Measure
•  String Line and Level(line level recommended)

Procedure:

1. Measure a squared area with lengths and widths that are one foot more per side.
   ex: 10x12 shed - 12x14 site.
2. Place a pin in each corner of the site and make sure that the site is square.
3. Dig down two to four inches in the site and remove the dirt. Keep the area in the site as level as possible.
4. Fill the site with the stone being used and rake to a level surface that at the lowest point is no higher than the adjacent ground. The amount of stone needed can be determined by telling the stone supplier the size and depth of the site.
